Sex After a BBL

woman and men sex after a BBL

Women typically undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure to restore their confidence since they were unhappy with their appearance before the surgery. After your BBL in Miami is complete, you’re going to be excited and want to show off your new body. You may have natural desires that need to be fulfilled. At this point, you’re going to be wondering when is it okay to have sex again?

How long cant you have sex for after a BBL

You should be able to begin light exercise in about two or three weeks after your BBL procedure. Over the course of the next few weeks, you can slowly ramp up your physical activity until reaching normal levels. However, every plastic surgeon has a slightly different recommendation on physical activity, so check with them first before you change your activity levels.

Does having sex affect your BBL results?

Having sex after a BBL can affect the results of your procedure, although it depends upon how vigorous the sexual activity is. It’s best to play it safe and use the same time frame for engaging sex as that of vigorous physical activity.

If you feel comfortable doing so, you can ask your plastic surgeon what level of sexual activity is appropriate for your stage of recovery.

When can I have sex again after my BBL?

As with all aspects of your recovery, check first with your plastic surgeon before increasing your activity levels. Although every plastic surgeon is different, generally, most recommend that you wait at least one month before engaging in sexual activity again after a Brazilian Butt Lift. You may have to adopt certain postures and positions that avoid placing pressure upon your buttocks.

The Brazilian Butt Lift

The BBL procedure is a type of cosmetic surgery that is becoming extremely popular right now among those unhappy with the appearance of their buttocks that may be sagging or lacking in shapely contours. The procedure works through the injection of fat into the buttocks. The fat is taken from the patient themselves.

BBL Recovery Timeline

Although every patient is different, you can generally expect your recovery to last anywhere from six to eight weeks. This may sound like a long time to wait, but your body will need every bit of that time to heal and adjust to the surgery. Before you know it, you’ll be reveling in your new body and enjoying the activities that you once did before your procedure.

Post-Procedure Dos and Don’ts

Here are a few things to do (and some things to avoid) after your BBL:

Do’s

Enlist Support

Immediately after your surgery, you’ll need someone to drive you home, as you’ll still be feeling the lingering effects of the anesthesia. So make arrangements for a friend or family member to drive you back home to recover.

Build Your “Nest”

When you return home, sore and tired, the last thing you’ll want to do is scramble around arranging your home to be more comfortable. So perform some advance work by doing things like having towels and tissues handy, arranging pillows, keeping ice packs, and making pre-cooked meals so that you can take it easy and focus on your recovery.

Don’ts

Don’t Smoke

Smoking tobacco products will hinder your recovery, such as restricting blood flow that delivers nutrients to healing tissues and removing toxins.

Avoid Sitting

Since the BBL involves the buttocks, you want to avoid sitting for any longer than necessary (such as on the toilet) so that the transplanted fat remains undisturbed and can develop a healthy blood supply. Any damage to the area can result in the need for expensive and unnecessary revision surgery.

When can I sit down again?

It’s going to take a few weeks before you can sit down again. The reason is that you must avoid disturbing the transferred fat. It must develop a blood supply and become stabilized. Sitting down for longer than absolutely necessary can cause you to have a negative result from your cosmetic procedure.

When can I drink alcohol again?

Alcohol is something else that will need to wait a while. The alcohol can hinder your recovery damaging healing tissues and making your post-procedure swelling last longer than it would otherwise.

It is also dangerous to mix alcohol with pain medication. So refrain from drinking alcohol for at least one to two weeks after your surgery.
